An Office With A View.
“You wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down.”

Introduction
An Office With A View is an ebook series for aspiring flight attendants. The first bundle, An Office With A View—Airline Application, has been released on 30 May 2019.
The ebook, being my pride and joy as my two passions—aviation & design—collide, is the resource I wish I would have had access to before I began my career as international flight attendant with Swissair in 1998.
Based on my career, spanning over thirteen years, the ebooks will provide step-by-step guidance through topics ranging from how to lodge a successful application to aeroplane types and service on board. Each ebook will be carefully designed to engage the reader, facilitate learning and promote optimal retention of information.
You can also find An Office With A View on Facebook and Instagram.
Book 1—Airline Application
The first ebook and accompanying resources in the An Office With A View series are dedicated to the submission of an airline application that stands out for all the right reasons.
Initially the ebook encourages the reader to think about their own requirements regarding lifestyle, the potential consequences for existing and future relationships and how best to combine their personal preferences and traits with the demands of their new career.
Airline Application acts as a solid foundation to promote a candidate's development into a self-confident, team oriented yet autonomous individual—the flight attendant mindset is key, not the ability to recite ready-made solutions. Additionally, the reader will immediately come into contact with common aviation terminology to quickly build up their new vocabulary and learn how to create useful habits for the recruitment phase, ground school and, ultimately, the work on board.
The workbook is designed to practise the skills that have been introduced in the book with the final outcome being the creation of application documents that are ready to be sent to the chosen airline. Additionally, carefully tailored exercises will solidify phone interview- and video interview skills as well as the reader’s ability to retain information through a different approach to note-taking.
